Frequently Asked Questions
When do you meet for worship?
We meet to worship together every Sunday at 10:45am.
What should I expect to experience at your gathering for worship?
Our Sunday morning worship gathering includes elements of prayer, worship through music (guitar, drums, vocals, and on occasion, other instruments), reading of Scripture, silent reflection, and teaching. Though we are not “liturgical” (i.e. we do not follow a fixed set of rituals and words), we do seek to be intentional—following the leading of God’s Spirit in preparation, while also allowing space for spontaneity in worship.
How will I know where to go?
You will be welcomed by a friendly greeter right at the door. The greeter will hand you a bulletin and will direct you to the sanctuary.
Do you pass an offering plate?
Yes. As a visitor, please do not feel obligated to give. Participation in this part of worship is intended for members and regular attendees.
What should I wear?
Most people attending worship at West Park Friends dress casually.
What activities are available for my children?
On Sunday morning, supervised nursery care is available for infants through preschool-aged children. During our worship gathering, elementary-aged children are dismissed prior to the message for Children’s Church—an interactive, age-appropriate lesson led by qualified, caring adults. Sunday school classes and mid-week activities are also offered for children and youth.
